Cryotherapy is an alternative to cold water therapy or ice products which exposes clients and athletes to cold, dry air for up to three minutes. Whole Body Cryotherapy and Cryosaunas delivers
During a cryotherapy session, your body constricts peripheral tissues, sending blood from the skin surface, muscle tissue and surrounding joints to the core to protect core temperature.
As the blood travels to the core, it follows the body’s natural filtration pathway and passes through the cardiovascular system where its cleansed of toxins and pumped full of oxygen, nutrients and enzymes.
The body continues to flush the tissue of toxins and circulate blood, continuing its normal flushing process and reaction to subzero temperatures.
You can get benefits from just one session of cryotherapy, but it’s most effective when used regularly. Some athletes use cryotherapy twice a day. Others will go daily for 10 days and then once a month afterwards.

Those with diabetes or any conditions that affect their nerves should not use cryotherapy. They may be unable to fully feel its effect, which could lead to further nerve damage.
Clothing
On arrival, our trained staff will greet you and answer any questions you may have to ensure you are completely comfortable prior to commence your session.
You will complete and sign a waiver which identifies any pre-existing conditions that may prevent you from using Cryotherapy.
All clients will be supplied a robe, dry socks, gloves and an area to change in.
Once you are changed you will enter the Cryosauna to begin your first Whole Body Cryotherapy treatment.
You are able to de-robe inside the sauna once the door is closed with only your head and neck being visible from the outside.
The platform will rise to the correct operating position. During the cold but quick 3 minute session, you may feel an array of immediate benefits begin
The enclosure will drop to between negative 200–300°F. They’ll stay in the ultra-low temperature air for between two and four minutes.
Once the treatment ends and you are re-robed you will then exit the sauna, re-dress in privacy and continue to reap the benefits of your first Crysosauna treatment!
After a cryotherapy session, your body immediately begins to return the enriched blood to the peripheral tissues delivering blood back to the skin, muscle tissue and surrounding joint space delivering an array of benefits.
You will begin to feel the benefits including a refreshing and energised feeling triggered by the brain releasing endorphins whilst burning 500-800 calories

These side effects are almost always temporary. Make an appointment with your doctor if they don’t resolve within 24 hours.
You should never use cryotherapy for longer than is recommended for the method of therapy you’re using.
For whole body cryotherapy, this would be more than four minutes.
